La Fuye is right next to the Loire by Bike route - Loire À Vélo - which goes west, towards Candes-Saint-Martin, or east - past La Fuye - towards Château d’Ussé. There are also forest bike trails leading deep into the shady and cool Forêt de Chinon - plus a new cycle path, the Green Path, linking Chinon to Richelieu (more on that at the bottom of this page).
Please contact us if you would like to arrange for bike hire during your stay.
The a new cycle route is called the Green Path and connects Richelieu with Chinon by way of an easy 20km carpet. It has lots of good places to stop off at, not too far off-route (there is an app you can download which is helpful, especially if you’re doing this with children).
Champigny-sur-Veude is a lovely, unmissable village along the way (stop here for a lakeside picnic). The cycle path is peppered with ‘stations’ that tell you what’s accessible nearby if you were to slightly deviate (you can take in Chateau du Riveau for example). The Green Path connects with the Loire by Bike route (Loire À Vélo).
